Since Union’s partnership with Berachain was announced, both communities have been asking one question: wen bArtio?
The wait is officially over. Berachain has been added to the Union Testnet. Go to app.union.build and begin transferring to and from Berachain’s high-performance, EVM-compatible blockchain.
But that’s not all. In order to demonstrate the DeFi possibilities Union will unlock, Cosmos LST provider Stride has been integrated as well. With Union, Berachain, and Stride, users will be able to liquid stake blue-chip assets like TIA, ATOM, and DYXY, transfer them to Berachain, and use them in DeFi.
Union has collaborated with several partners to give the community a glimpse into this future. Read on to learn how you can take part in the next phase of Union’s testnet.
Bera Union: Fur and Friendship Testnet Quest
To support ecosystems like Berachain, it’s important to remove silos and reduce liquidity fragmentation. That’s where Union’s trustless zero-knowledge interoperability comes in: liquidity can flow to where it’s the most productive.
To illustrate this, Union has collaborated with Berachain community gateway project The Honey Jar on a new ecosystem quest. Called Bera Union: Fur and Friendship, participants will interact with four chains: Stride, DYDX, Union, and Berachain. In the process, users will mint stDYDX on Stride, transfer it to Berachain using Union, and LP it into a pool on Berachain’s native liquidity hub, Kodiak.
Here are the steps:
Claim STRD gas tokens from the Stride faucet
Claim DYDX tokens from the Union faucet
Stake DYDX for stDYDX on Stride
Transfer stDYDX from Stride Testnet to Berachain Testnet (Bartio) via Union. Note: testnet-stDYDX may appear as "stdv4tnt". This is the correct token.
Claim Bera tokens from Bera faucet
Swap 0.05 BERA to HONEY
LP into the HONEY-stDYDX pool on Kodiak. Select MAX under the HONEY selector, click Approve for both assets, and click Supply.
